Travel Information

If you’re flying into Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Marta or a ride sharing service are your best transportation options to The Starling Hotel. If you choose to take Marta, take the Red or Gold line train from the Airport to Arts Center (Marta train map). From there, it’s a 9 minute walk to the hotel. If you plan to drive yourself, please be aware of the parking costs.

 ACG Commissioning Authority (CxA) Workshop

ACG is hosting an In-Person 1-Day CxA Workshop & Exam on Wednesday, October 18 at The Starling Hotel. The 5-hour CxA Workshop includes a discussion of the commissioning process as described in the ACG Commissioning Guideline, as well as valuable practical insight on skills, strategies, and communication and documentation protocols essential to applying the process on “real world” projects. The cost of the workshop is $700 an includes CxA Application & Exam fee, breakfast & lunch. This workshop is approved for 5 AIA LUs. While not affiliated with Forge Symposium, the location makes it easy to attend both Forge and the workshop! 

ACG is a non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of independent third-party building commissioning. It provides trainingeducation and certification and is home to the world’s largest group of certified commissioning authorities.

Jesse Sycuro

We are thrilled to announce Jesse Sycuro, PE, CCP as our keynote speaker! Jesse is the current BCxA President & the Director of National Technical Services Operations at McKinstry. As the operations director of the national technical services team, he has successfully led McKinstry in spearheading asset management, building commissioning, and energy efficiency projects across Canada and the US. His dedication to innovation and sustainable practices has earned him a stellar reputation and made him a highly sought-after thought leader.

At Forge, Jesse will share his insights after serving as BCxA president at this year’s national conference and relating those insights to his experiences in the field.

Evening at the Georgia Aquarium

Join us on Thursday, October 19 for a tour and dinner at the renowned Georgia Aquarium. This event is open to all Forge attendees and the cost, including transportation, is included in your Forge Symposium registration!

The Aquarium is the perfect setting for an unforgettable night of socializing with other industry leaders and peers. Start your evening with a self-guided tour of the aquarium followed by a private dinner just for Forge Symposium attendees in the Ocean Voyager gallery, home to whale sharks, manta rays, and thousands of other fascinating fish. Transportation to and from and Aquarium will be provided. Buses will leave The Starling Hotel at 5pm and will bring guests back to The Starling once the dinner concludes.
