Keynote Presentation

Speaker: Jesse Sycuro, PE, CCP

Join us for our keynote session with Jesse Sycuro, President of the Building Commissioning Association and National Operations Director of Technical Services for McKinstry, as he shares a fresh perspective on our industry and how when we define commissioning as a systematic, intensive quality assurance process we’re missing the point.

Commissioning is about relationships, about change management, about teams, and at it’s root bringing people together to achieve a greater goal.  Commissioning provides the collective knowledge and commitment of architects, engineers, contractors, operators, and occupants, aligning their vision and expectations. It’s a symphony of communication, ensuring that each component operates harmoniously to deliver a safe, efficient, and comfortable space. Through this lens, Jesse will connect the tools and resources we have through processes, best practices, and technology, to the core of what we are, an industry defined by people.

Jesse is the Operations Director for McKinstry’s National Technical Services team, leading asset management, building commissioning, and energy efficiency projects across the country. Having commissioned new and existing smart buildings and having led maintenance and operations teams, Jesse leverages his experience to work with clients to find innovative solutions that maximize the efficiency of the built environment while reducing lifecycle costs. He is a U.S. Navy veteran, with experience managing nuclear power plant maintenance and operations.
